PROCESS
Please note that applications to the Ethical Charter process are currently limited to Healthcare Organisations (HCOs) and Professional Congress Organisers (PCOs) as defined by the MedTech Europe Code of Ethical Business Practice. Please see the MedTech Europe Code of Ethical Business Practice for complete definitions of these terms and further information.
The leader of the applicant organisation is invited to identify the relevant person(s) within his or her organisation, who will go through the learning and testing of the content of the Code. These individuals are typically in charge of medical education, Events organisation, Educational Grants, logistical aspects of the Event planning and/or industry’s relations. Each organisation may enroll up to 5 staff members into the Ethical Charter process.
The leader of the applicant organisation will receive an email notification that the process started.
Each enrolled individual will receive an individual email notification, explaining the process (below) granting access to the online webinar and self-assessment. Online webinar and test need to be taken within a period of two months, to allow the certification to be validated.
Access to the online self-assessment will only be granted once the online webinar has been watched entirely. The leader of the organisation will receive email updates to be able to track the progress of staff members.
Once all identified individuals have successfully passed the online test (which means obtaining a success score superior to 85%), it will be triggered that:
- the leader of the applicant organisation will receive an email inviting him/her to officially sign the Ethical Charter terms and conditions.
- the Trusted Partner logo will be provided to the applicant organisation which information will be displayed in the dedicated area of the Ethical MedTech website.
